Thats my baby girl!!! U should see her now she has filled out soo much more... Just got her fixed and she is doing well. Mya is the most beautiful loving dog I have ever had, she is such a cuddle bug. Thanks again for helping me raise the most loyal and well manered pup. If u ever want to see her or want pics let us know.

first met Nate when he was with Chulo at an Animal Rescue League fund
raiser. I was amazed by Chulo- he was one of the most well put
together dogs I’d ever seen. I asked Nate that day if he was a
breeder and he said yes. He gave me his number and I gave him a call
a few months later. We talked for over an hour. He wanted to make
sure I would be a responsible owner. I told him I was ready to buy a
dog, and he informed me of an upcoming breeding with Chulo and Chara.
I had to get one of these dogs! When the litter was born, Sidra sent
me an E-mail informing me. A few weeks later I went to see the
puppies. Within five minutes one puppy came and calmly sat right
beside be, while his brothers and sisters continued to play. It was
destiny. I gave Nate a deposit that day. In the coming weeks I was
welcomed with open arms by Nate and Sidra every time I came to visit
the puppy I named Mason Cruz. The day I came to pick up Mason, Nate
had all the paper work ready and sent me home with great, expert
advice on how to raise a puppy. Now two months later, I can honestly
say that Mason is the best dog I have ever been around- and I have had
dogs my entire life. He has an amazing temperament and is extremely
intelligent- very easy to train! He is great with babies, kids,
people, and dogs of all sizes. Every person I encounter comments on
how good looking, loyal, well tempered, and well mannered he is. They
are amazed that he is an APBT. I then explain to them that APBT’s are
the best breed in the world when they are owned by a loving and
responsible owner. Mason is beginning to change peoples perception of
the breed. Thanks to Nate, Sidra, and Shaolin Kennels for breeding my
best friend!

He's weighing in at 27 pounds and as healthy as can be (knock on wood of course), just went to the vet's yesterday as a matter of fact. He's a great dog bro, kind, loving, and EVERYONE simply sweats him and his coloring. |
The puppies were three weeks old the first time we went to Shaolin Kennels. We brought my mother-in-law and our two kids (12 yrs old & 7 yrs old). When we arrived, Chulo was outside barking and being quite intimidating. We had just lost our APBT a month earlier, so to be intimidated by a Pit surprised me. Nate greeted us at the door and brought us into the yard while assuring us that Chulo was very friendly. So true!! Chulo wagged his tail so hard he almost spun himself in a circle. We then were able to meet Isis, this is what sold us. Our 7 yr old son, who is small for his age was petting her when she decided to jump up on him to plant a nice wet kiss. Neither Nate or Sidra even flinched, we were strangers, and Isis just had puppies. They were so confident that there was nothing to worry about, regardless the scenario. Five out of the next six weekends we made the hour drive to visit and to continue to interact with the puppies (especially ours), and Mom and Dad. Finally we can take Diva home! It has now been nine months since we brought her home, and we will tell anyone that we have the best dog ever, only she doesn't have a clue shes a dog. Diva's favorite pastimes are spooning, yep that's right spooning, and playing hide and go seek with our son, her best friend. Diva is so smart I am able to teach her new tricks in a matter of minutes. She will show you her fingernails, say please, she can whisper, and say " I LOVE YOU." I could go on. The vet is amazed at her coat, her perfect teeth and gums, her remarkable health, and that she just makes everyone want to cuddle. Diva goes everywhere with us , she loves to play with other animals and kids. When the time comes for Diva to have a brother or sister there is no doubt in my mind that we will return to Shaolin Kennels.
Amanda, proud pit owner!
Most people can say that their dog is part of their family, which no doubt he or she is. But my dog is a part of our family in different ways. Diva is more like a brother or sister than a dog. She acts more like a person than I do! Just kidding. She sits like a person, up straight and with her legs sprawled out in front of her. She has better posture than me and I am thirteen! Diva sleeps with me almost every night. I wake up to the sight of her laying next to me with her head on my pillow. Sometimes if shes awake in the morning she goes out to the bus top with me. She waits until I get on the bus and then goes back inside. She greets me when I come home from school by wagging her tail and running around in excitement. When people hear about the breed "Pit-bull" a scary image pops into their head. That's because people see them on TV when they are trained and used to fight. My dog is the best companion in the world. She is always looking out for my brother and I. A good example is when my brother and I are horsing around with each other. I will be tickling him or something and he will be screaming and laughing, Diva then comes to the rescue within a matter of two seconds to make sure things are okay. Sometimes just to mess around with her I hide under a blanket and pretend to cry. The minute she hears me she pulls the blanket off and licks my face until I stop crying. I could go on and on about how awesome my dog is. Thanks to Shaolin Kennels, I have found my best friend.
